Margot Viarnes was born in Figueres. She studied at the Escuela Superior de Diseno Elisava, school of interior and industrial design.
In 1989 she opened her first studio in collaboration with Rosend Cortes interior designer of large scale projects and special habitations.

Won 2nd prize at the National Furniture Fair in Valencia for the coffee-table 'Blas' (1985) Distinguished in the National Furniture Fair Competition in Valencia for the light fitting Torxa, small armchair and the 'Carmen' bench (1989) Mention of honour at National Furniture Fair in Valencia for the Rafemar stand (1992) Distinguished by the Grand Jury of the Fad Prize for Industrial Design for the chair 'Crisis' (1994) Awarded Opinion Interior Design Magazine Prize for her professional career (1996).

Furniture Fairs at Cologne, Milan, Frankfurt and Valencia. Exhibition 'Muestra de diseno espanol en Brasil' (Spanish Design Exhibition in Brazil), at Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia and San Paolo Exhibition 'Diseno Espanol de Empresas' (Spanish Design for companies) at Athens Exhibition 'Mujeres al proyecto', (Women for Design) Canaries, Miami, Caracas, Costa Rica, Mexico. Picked as Spanish woman designer with a solid career, by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She has worked for Andreu World, AG, Carpyen, Concepta, Do+ce, Paularte, Temas V, Uno design, Vibia.
